Are You Taking New Clients?

I am currently taking new clients on evenings only. If you need daytime sessions, Iā€™d love to help you schedule with another trusted counselor.

What Will The First Session Be Like?

We will review privacy and safety documents as well as discuss your history and goals for treatment. I will send you some documents to review before the first session so that we can maximize our time together.

Can We Talk Before I Make An Appointment?

Absolutely - If you have specific questions, please text or email me and I will be in touch with you promptly. It is important that you feel comfortable with your counselor in order to have maximum benefit.

Can I reach you outside of our sessions?

Yes, but on a limited basis. I understand that recovery happens between sessions and sometimes extra support is needed. I am able to provide brief phone support between sessions but do charge a fee for extended phone coaching or consultation. What If I need to Cancel Last Minute?

Because my schedule requires that I end sessions promptly, if you arrive late for a scheduled appointment, you may not be able to complete the entire 50 minute session. Please make every effort to be punctual so that we can make the most of our scheduled time together.

Please make appointment cancellations or changes before 24 hours of your scheduled appointment by phone or text; please do not use email or text to cancel sessions to ensure timely receipt of your message. Any appointment cancelled within 24 hours of your session will incur a full fee charge charge.

What Are Your Fees?

Standard 50 min session: $125

Extended 80 min session: $160 (recommended for family sessions, couples therapy, intensive work)

New clients are recommended to attend weekly at first, then may decide to reduce frequency as progress is made. If you are in need of a reduced fee, please let me know - I do not want financial distress to be a barrier for you. If I am unable to assist, I will help to find you quality care at a rate you can afford.

Do You Take Insurance?

The majority of my clients choose to self-pay. This allows us the freedom to determine a treatment plan without the management of your insurance company potentially limiting sessions, driving treatment goals, and requiring me to submit your personal information to them.

I can take Blue Cross & Blue Shield PPO plans. I am unable to take HMO policies because they contract their mental health benefits with several other different insurance companies. If you need helping checking what kind of policy or benefits you have, I am happy to help.

Additionally, if you would like to use your out-of-network insurance benefits, I can provide you with a Superbill each month to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. A Superbill is a receipt of all your session fees for a certain period of time that you can use to request reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider on their out-of-network policies so you are fully informed on this process. At times, out-of-network benefits can actually be more beneficial financially if you have a lower out-of-network deductible.
